WATER IS ESSENTIAL

The earth is made out of 71% water.  Our bodies are made out of 60% water.  Much of our life revolves around water.  We rely on it to survive, without it the human body cannot function properly.  Hydration is essential to human life.  You’re welcome for the mini science lesson.  

In the past six months, I’ve changed a lot of my nutrition and habits for a healthier and fit life for myself and for my son. I’ve re-evaluated the way that I exercise my body and what I put into it.  This doesn’t note that I don’t enjoy great tasting foods (pizzzzaa!) or refrain from eating cookies but I’ve allowed myself to balance a healthier diet with better nutrition goals to feed my body in the best way possible to make me happy about my body, mind and soul. Somewhat geared towards intuitive eating while maintaining a more plant based diet.

Water is essential. So why not make it interesting and beneficial at the same time. I start out every morning with a huge glass of water with some added lemons. If I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll slice in some Persian cucumbers. I make sure I drink the whole glass in the morning and then I just do regular water during the day. Among other things, lemons and cucumbers are loaded with vitamins and potassium…so why not??!

I’ve started drinking more and more water and have noticed so many benefits from my skin clearing up to cutting out my normal caffeine boost aka coffee.  Don’t worry, I haven’t given coffee forever, just taking it down a notch.
